Inventory Accountant

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 65,770–82,210 per year

What you will do

• Perform general accounting activities related to period-end closing, financial statement audits, SOX support, and financial operations compliance.
• Report contract revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and at-risk contracts accurately and on time under GAAP and corporate requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly working papers for inventory and risk contracts.
• Prepare P&L and balance-sheet variance analyses, account reconciliations, and statutory compliance reports.
• Work with Operational and Corporate Finance teams to resolve business issues and improve accounting processes.
• Participate in special projects, committees, and other accounting activities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; Oracle experience is an asset.
• Strong bookkeeping knowledge and mathematical skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
