Company

hirify.global is an employee-owned technical services company working on energy transition, infrastructure resilience, digital transformation, and sustainability challenges.

What you will do

  • Establish content standards covering authoring, peer review, compliance approval, publication, maintenance, classification, tagging, and retirement.
  • Define editorial workflows, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, metadata schemas, structured CMS components, and permission matrices.
  • Create a modular Content Management Handbook, role-based SOPs, workflow diagrams, and a comprehensive CMS Training Manual.
  • Develop a phased migration plan covering content inventories, deduplication, semantic cleanup, asset mapping, and legacy system audits.
  • Guide content optimization and structural rewriting for the GeoInfo homepage, research portals, and Centennial features.
  • Advise leadership on post-launch governance staffing, conduct author and editor training, and validate launch readiness.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of professional content strategy experience with leadership in content governance, editorial operations, taxonomy and metadata architecture, and large-scale migration planning.
  • Experience creating digital content strategies for large, content-rich, distributed websites or institutional platforms.
  • Advanced expertise in governance models, editorial lifecycles, granular permissions, decentralized publishing, content audits, and structured migration plans.
  • Experience designing modular content types for modern CMS platforms such as Drupal or Wagtail.
  • Ability to translate scientific or highly technical subject matter into audience-focused content models and editorial guidance.
  • Strong facilitation, interviewing, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting public-sector, higher education, scientific research, data-intensive, or state and federal agency web transformation projects.
  • Direct experience with higher education, state agencies, or scientific and engineering research institutions.
  • New Mexico residency and availability to travel to Socorro, NM, up to two times during the project lifecycle.

Culture & Benefits

  • Part-time contract engagement with significant front-loaded involvement from November 2026 through March 2027.
  • Later work transitions to advisory, migration oversight, training, content review, and launch-readiness support.
  • Employee-owned environment focused on solving complex, high-impact technical and infrastructure challenges.
