Associate, Liquid Credit Research

Location: New York, NY, United States

Base salary: $150,000, plus potential annual discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain views on industry trends, market drivers, and industry economics.
• Analyze assigned credits, including cash flows, on- and off-balance-sheet assets and liabilities.
• Build and maintain predictive financial models using Excel.
• Perform transaction, DCF, public-market, valuation, capital-structure, and relative-value analysis.
• Monitor portfolio positions and summarize relevant information for daily morning meetings.
• Maintain accurate credit information in internal systems, protect confidential information, and support special projects.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of buy-side credit or sell-side high-yield loan/bond research experience preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, financial modeling, and Excel skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with curiosity about credit and investing.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
