Principal Product Manager (AI, Subrogation)

Location: Chicago (Green St), Illinois, United States

Salary: $147,151.48–$200,000 per year, plus bonus and/or commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Outbound Subrogation platform, including user experience, data capabilities, AI enhancements, and integrations.
• Translate customer research, market signals, and competitive intelligence into product priorities and a defensible strategy.
• Define and track carrier-focused success metrics, including dollars recovered, identification rate, cycle time, adoption, and ROI.
• Partner with engineering and data science on architecture, next-best-action workflows, scoring models, data pipelines, and LLM-based explainability.
• Conduct research with recovery managers, subrogation adjusters, and carrier teams while maintaining a continuous feedback loop with users.
• Support go-to-market execution and active enterprise sales cycles by presenting product value and ROI to operational and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience in enterprise software or high-growth SaaS.
• Experience building a product from 0 to 1 or leading a major relaunch in a startup or high-velocity environment.
• Experience shipping AI-driven or data-intensive products using LLMs, scoring models, or machine learning pipelines.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders to validate direction, drive adoption, and support commercial outcomes.
• Deep experience in a complex, regulated industry such as insurance, fintech, healthtech, or legaltech; subrogation or claims experience is valuable.
• Ability to work directly with engineers, use AI coding tools, make architectural trade-offs, and operate effectively in ambiguity.
