Data Analytics Consultant

What you will do

• Gather and refine data use case requirements with business stakeholders.
• Design scalable data models, data element relationships, and logical data solutions.
• Define requirements for data source integrity monitoring, cleansing, validation, and transformation logic.
• Support database enhancement requests and specify database, table, and column requirements.
• Document data lineage, data sharing agreements, metadata, and data management practices.
• Assess upstream system-of-record changes, identify data impacts, and align solutions with data governance and technology standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• Proficiency in MSSQL, including writing, reading, and optimizing queries for extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience with Alteryx and SSMS for data cleansing, validation, and transformation logic.
• Experience with data profiling, root cause analysis, metadata management, and data governance.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and engage stakeholders effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Google Data Cloud stack, including Dataplex and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with SSIS packages and jobs.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and Atlassian software such as Jira.
