Senior Business Data Consultant (Data Management)

Location: Hybrid, four days per week, in Wilmington, DE; Buffalo, NY; or Baltimore, MD. Amherst, NY is also listed as a location.

Salary: $123,600–$206,000 annual USD.

M&T Bank is investing in continuous improvement, data management, governance, and digital transformation for its Wilmington Trust Institutional Services division.

What you will do

• Execute the Data Management Strategy and develop governance frameworks, policies, and standards for the assigned business.
• Implement the Data Management Program and train business and technology stakeholders.
• Serve as data steward, facilitate working groups, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Identify critical data elements, capture metadata, and monitor data quality through KPIs and KRIs.
• Facilitate remediation of data-management issues and promote data-management and business-intelligence tools.
• Analyze large datasets to generate business insights while maintaining risk, regulatory, audit, and internal-control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience including 7 years of professional experience.
• At least 5 years of financial-services experience.
• Strong interpersonal, persuasion, communication, analytical, creative problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels.
• Strong SQL programming knowledge and proficiency with spreadsheets, graphing, presentations, and financial models.
• Must be able to secure and maintain United States work authorization without company visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and 10 or more years of professional experience.
• Corporate trust experience and knowledge of bank products, systems, workflows, and data-management practices.
• Process-improvement and business-process-management experience.
• Advanced SQL, Alteryx, logical data modeling, and project or presentation software skills.
• Experience applying AI to data.
