TL;DR
Cloud Security Engineer (Cryptography/Cloud Security): Developing cloud-based security solutions and enterprise cryptographic governance with an accent on data confidentiality, integrity, encryption, and certificate management. Focus on assessing vulnerabilities, building cryptographic services, managing HSMs and secrets, and ensuring compliance and auditability across distributed systems.
Location: Tysons, Virginia; Plano, Texas; or remote within the United States
Pay range: $75–$80

What you will do
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects as part of a development team.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity product managers and architects to deliver cloud-based security solutions.
- Assess security risks and identify vulnerabilities affecting data confidentiality and integrity.
- Develop cryptographic solutions, including encryption, hashing, and digital signatures.
- Improve enterprise cryptography governance frameworks to support compliance and auditability.
- Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of cybersecurity experience and 2 years of cryptography experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud-native technologies, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with FutureX and Thales HSMs, certificate lifecycle managers such as Venafi and DigiCert, and secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault.
- At least 1 year of experience with the Cortex XSOAR platform.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
- Experience with coding and scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and Agile development practices.
