TL;DR
Cloud Engineer (Cloud Security) (AWS/Protegrity): Designing and supporting cloud-based security solutions for cryptography, data protection, distributed systems, and mission-critical environments with an accent on encryption, tokenization, secure key management, and enterprise governance. Focus on automating Protegrity lifecycle management with Ansible, deploying AWS serverless integrations through Terraform, and protecting data across Snowflake, Teradata, and Linux platforms.
Location: Remote; Plano, Texas or McLean, Virginia preferred. The engagement lasts 14 months.

What you will do
- Lead technology projects focused on cryptography, data protection, distributed systems, and cloud-based security.
- Design and deliver security solutions with cybersecurity product managers, architects, and engineering teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Protegrity Data Encryption and Tokenization solutions in a mission-critical environment.
- Assess confidentiality and integrity risks and design encryption, hashing, digital signature, and key management solutions.
- Manage Protegrity solutions in large Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments and maintain data protection policies.
- Develop Ansible automation and Terraform Enterprise deployments for AWS serverless integrations, Protegrity Cloud Protector, Snowflake, and Teradata.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of cybersecurity engineering experience and 2 years of cryptography-related experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud-native technologies, Unix or Linux administration, SELinux, and Protegrity Data Protection solutions.
- At least 2 years of experience with Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform Enterprise.
- Strong understanding of data protection, encryption, tokenization, and cryptographic security.
- Experience supporting enterprise security solutions and collaborating across engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, and product teams.
Nice to have
- 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience and 4+ years with the Protegrity Data Protection Platform.
- 3+ years of coding or scripting with Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with Linux file systems, storage subsystems, clustering, high availability, fault tolerance, and replication.
- Experience with DevOps, Agile development, AWS serverless technologies, Protegrity Cloud Protector, Snowflake, and Teradata integrations.
