Senior Detection & Security Automation Engineer

Location: 100% remote anywhere in the United States; approximately 5% travel required.

What you will do

• Lead the administration, expansion, and optimization of the enterprise SIEM platform.
• Develop and maintain SOAR workflows and security automation capabilities.
• Design, onboard, and maintain log sources across cloud, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and application environments.
• Create, tune, and maintain detection content while conducting proactive threat hunting and complex investigations.
• Implement telemetry management, cost optimization, data fabric, and data lifecycle capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT, Networking, and Cloud Operations, mentor team members, establish operational standards, support FedRAMP security operations, and participate in the incident response on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of SIEM/SOAR engineering experience.
• Strong familiarity with Windows AD and Office 365 environments.
• Experience with cloud security monitoring, data fabric layer tooling, and software pipelines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience assessing AI security risks, including data leakage, shadow AI, and prompt injection, plus familiarity with AI governance and enterprise AI policies.

Nice to have

• Enterprise-scale incident response investigation experience.
• Familiarity with Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, and the Microsoft Defender suite.
• Familiarity with major cloud providers and their services.
