Revenue Lead Accountant (Revenue Recognition)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite position

Salary: $136,500–$184,500 annual base pay

What you will do

• Lead revenue recognition strategy and operational alignment for the Consumer Group segment.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce revenue recognition policies under ASC 606.
• Perform technical accounting research and interpret evolving FASB and SEC standards.
• Provide revenue guidance to business, product, finance, IT, sales, and marketing stakeholders.
• Establish controls for revenue forecasts, deferred revenue balances, and compliant accounting execution.
• Document accounting treatments, deliver training, and streamline revenue systems and reporting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with at least 7 years of post-graduate experience or equivalent experience.
• CPA certification required.
• Strong technical accounting, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and internal controls knowledge.
• Experience applying revenue recognition accounting literature and working with end-to-end financial processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Strong PC, spreadsheet, and word-processing skills.

Nice to have

• Background in public accounting or internal audit.
• Working knowledge of Oracle R12, Siebel/BRM, RevStream, or QlikSense.
