Operations Co-Op (MedTech)

Location: Onsite in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, United States

Co-op term: January–December 2027; full-time, 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Execute projects that improve process efficiency, reduce cycle time and cost, and enhance quality within an assigned department.
• Apply project management methodologies, including FPX, to assigned operations projects.
• Use Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes.
• Complete basic project and product development tasks, including specifications, documentation, testing, and validation.
• Support concepts and designs for new products, processes, and test methods.
• Prepare reports and documentation, and follow environmental, safety, and occupational health policies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Completed at least two years of studies, including the undergraduate freshman year, and maintain good academic standing.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent written ability in both languages.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Visio and Minitab is desirable.
• Ability to assess issues and opportunities, set priorities, and act with urgency.

Nice to have

• Previous internship, co-op, or academic research experience.
• Participation in a student association or organization.
• Knowledge of Visio and Minitab.
