Internal Communications Manager

Location: Hybrid in Silicon Valley or New York, United States

Annual base salary: $140,000–$185,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute the firmwide internal communications strategy, annual plan, and communications campaigns.
• Create messaging frameworks, stakeholder maps, timelines, channel strategies, announcements, leadership messages, newsletters, intranet content, presentations, FAQs, and toolkits.
• Manage and optimize internal communications channels, including intranet, collaboration platforms, email, and newsletters.
• Lead communications for organizational, operational, technology, brand, growth, and cultural change initiatives.
• Prepare leaders and managers with executive messages, presentations, talking points, Q&A documents, and practical communication resources.
• Use engagement data, employee feedback, and stakeholder input to improve content, timing, formats, and distribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Six or more years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee engagement, change communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, presentation-development, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience developing communications plans, campaigns, and content for organizational or business change.
• Experience supporting senior leaders and managing internal communications channels or platforms.
• Ability to work effectively across a complex organization with sound judgment and discretion.

Nice to have

• Experience in a law firm, professional services, financial services, or another complex organization.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience establishing communications governance, editorial processes, content calendars, or channel-management practices.
• Experience using engagement data, employee feedback, or channel analytics to improve communications.
