Employee Communications, AVP

Location: Hybrid role requiring on-site presence at the Santa Clara, California headquarters three days a week or more. Candidates must be able to work or commute on-site. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: $179,931–$315,300 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Create and execute an employee communications strategy aligned with the Enterprise Communications strategy.
• Lead and manage a three-person communications team while collaborating with communicators and business partners across the company.
• Oversee communications for approximately 18,000 employees across multiple channels and platforms.
• Guide storytelling, campaigns, and content for major companywide and global initiatives.
• Manage the internal communications editorial calendar and ensure consistent voice, tone, quality, and publishing cadence.
• Define and measure campaign success, advise the Chief Human Resources Officer and HR Leadership Team, and adjust strategies to improve employee engagement and understanding.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of internal communications experience.
• Proven experience developing and executing large-scale, global internal communications strategies and programs.
• Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, including familiarity with Associated Press style.
• Previous people management experience and the ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong familiarity with Office 365 and related collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of SharePoint and experience managing and updating intranet content.

• Degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Experience capturing an executive voice and shaping an internal communications narrative.
