Frontend Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid work at the Oakville, Canada location; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

12-month full-time contract.

What you will do

• Translate product requirements into technical solutions with Product Managers and the Tech Lead.
• Evaluate third-party libraries, SaaS platforms, and custom implementations for new features.
• Build scalable React features for mobile applications and desktop and mobile web platforms.
• Develop real-time community features such as comments, likes, shares, stories, and live chat.
• Create logged-in and premium user experiences with responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces.
• Write unit tests, support QA, and maintain CI/CD and mobile release pipelines.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in frontend and mobile application development for high-traffic environments.
• Hands-on experience with React, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
• Experience with real-time features, REST APIs, GraphQL, third-party SDKs, and SaaS services.
• Experience with React state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Knowledge of mobile-first responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-device compatibility.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and availability for hybrid work at the Oakville location.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile and web animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop.
• Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket, Fastlane, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and a TDD mindset.
