Web Software Developer, Intern (WFM)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid schedule requiring work from the downtown Toronto office 1–2 days per week. Internship/co-op terms run for 8–16 months and begin in May or June 2027.

What you will do

• Develop production-quality responsive web applications and backend services.
• Build web user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.js.
• Implement product enhancements and resolve software defects while maintaining code quality and reliability.
• Create unit tests and automation to improve software quality and release efficiency.
• Apply AWS services including EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and SQS to cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate through code reviews, technical discussions, and agile development practices.

Requirements

• Current enrolment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of responsive single-page web application development using modern JavaScript libraries or frameworks.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and AWS technologies.
• Understanding of testing, debugging, version control, and software quality fundamentals.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and agile development skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js, Knockout, or similar frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with Java, Clojure, LESS, Mocha, Chai, or Webpack.
• Exposure to AWS services and continuous integration tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.
