What you will do
- Act as the owner's on-site representative for utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects.
- Oversee third-party EPC contractors, construction progress, schedules, budgets, scopes, deliverables, and permit compliance.
- Lead daily safety walks, monitor environmental and safety impacts, and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, safety, quality, commissioning, authorities, landowners, and independent engineers.
- Verify civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical milestones, QA/QC compliance, documentation, invoices, and change orders.
- Manage punch lists, project closeout, progress reporting, and site photo updates.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of on-site construction management experience in utility-scale solar, battery storage, substations, or comparable large-scale power, oil and gas, or chemical projects.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, methods, building products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
- OSHA 30 certification and the ability to conduct physically rigorous site inspections in various climates.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; extensive Procore knowledge and daily use are expected in the core competencies.
- Ability to manage QA/QC, punch lists, commodity tracking, EPC relationships, schedules, budgets, and construction documentation.
- Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not required; FAA Part 107 certification is preferred.
