Social Media Content Creator (Contract) (Gaming)

Location: Onsite or hybrid at the hirify.global office in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $30–$35.50 per hour

What you will do

• Capture high-quality gameplay footage using development hardware, development builds, and capture tools.
• Create and edit short-form vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
• Provide gameplay capture and editing support for campaigns, announcements, launches, developer diaries, and other high-priority communications.
• Maintain an organized library of evergreen and reactive-ready video content for social conversations, trends, and community moments.
• Adapt gameplay and announcements into platform-native content in collaboration with the Social Media Manager.
• Create GIFs, screenshots, and other social and communications assets as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form vertical video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of social media formats, pacing, trends, and platform best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple content requests and deliver high-quality work within established timelines.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to receive and apply creative direction and feedback from Communications and project teams.

Nice to have

• Experience capturing gameplay with in-engine tools, development kits, or development builds.
• Experience with CapCut, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience creating social content for games or entertainment brands.
• Familiarity with GIFs, screenshots, and other social-first visual assets.
