Associate Content Creator (Sports Media)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Travel to selected events and coverage during nights and weekends may be required.

What you will do

• Create content plans around live programming and track-and-field storylines to drive viewership and subscriptions.
• Identify narratives, rivalries, athletes, teams, and event stakes that build anticipation among fans.
• Cover live events in real time by identifying key moments, clipping broadcasts, and publishing social content.
• Repackage full-event replays into highlights, short-form videos, athlete features, compilations, and other formats.
• Manage social channels, editorial programming, publishing, and day-to-day content decisions.
• Coordinate freelancers and external contributors while collaborating with marketing, design, production, rights, and sales teams.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of track and field and running, including athletes, teams, programs, recruiting, events, culture, and storylines.
• Experience creating social-first sports content, especially short-form video and real-time event coverage.
• Ability to identify compelling moments from live events and quickly turn them into engaging content.
• Experience managing social channels and making editorial and programming decisions.
• Understanding of video performance, audience analytics, monetization, viewership, and subscription acquisition.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced live-events environment, travel to selected events, and produce on-site content.
