You'll help strengthen NOVACARD's contractual, corporate, and compliance foundations while supporting the continued growth of NOVAPLAZO in Mexico.
📋 About the Role
You will work across commercial contracting, corporate affairs, AML/KYC compliance, and financial regulation, partnering with Operations, Finance, Product, Commercial, and other teams.
✅ What You'll Do:
🔸 Contracts & Corporate Affairs
🔸Draft, negotiate, and formalize commercial and merchant agreements (including NDAs), covering data protection, IP, confidentiality, liability, and termination clauses.
🔸Maintain contract documentation, version control, and corporate records.
🔸Support shareholder meetings, powers of attorney, and filings with the RPC and SAT.
🔸Liaise with notaries, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders on corporate matters.
🔸Compliance & Legal Support
🔸Support AML/KYC compliance under LFPIORPI, including customer/corporate documentation review and monthly UIF reporting.
🔸Assist with regulatory matters before Banxico, CONDUSEF, and PROFECO.
🔸Provide ongoing legal support to Operations, Product, Commercial, and Finance teams.
🎯 Requirements
🔸Law degree with valid Mexican professional license (cédula profesional).
🔸3+ years of experience in commercial contracts and corporate law.
🔸Knowledge of Mexican corporate/commercial regulations and AML/KYC (LFPIORPI).
🔸Strong analytical, organizational, and legal writing skills; able to juggle multiple matters and deadlines.
🔸Intermediate-advanced English.
✨ Nice to Have
🔸 Experience in fintech, financial services, acquiring, payments, or regulated industries.
🔸 Knowledge of financial regulation and data protection (LFPDPPP).
🔸 Experience with electronic signature and document management platforms.
