Staff Engineer-Manufacturing Plating (PVD)

Location: Onsite in Juárez, Nuevo León, Mexico

What you will do

• Direct the plating and PVD finishing processes, material flow, and associated equipment.
• Develop manufacturing process specifications, routings, documentation, and training.
• Diagnose equipment and process problems across upstream and downstream operations.
• Lead major capital projects and equipment purchases for capacity and strategic needs.
• Investigate and test new processes or process changes to improve cost, quality, and productivity.
• Support new product launches through technical assessments, cost estimates, and tooling design.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 5 years of experience in plating and PVD-related finishing operations.
• Background in chemical engineering, materials science engineering, mechanical engineering, applied physics, chemistry, metallurgy, or a related field.
• Experience diagnosing manufacturing equipment and process problems.
• Ability to work with supplier networks in and outside the United States.

Nice to have

• Advanced engineering degree with coursework in PVD or thin-film systems.
