Data Product and Integration Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Richmond, Virginia; available to Virginia residents only. A hybrid schedule is required, with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during core hours of 9am–5pm EST.

Salary: $84,400–$127,000 annually, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design and maintain curated datasets integrating information across multiple systems and business domains.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics, reporting, and technology teams to source, transform, and deliver trusted enterprise data assets.
• Validate data mappings, lineage, business rules, definitions, and data quality controls.
• Develop metadata, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and governance documentation.
• Translate business needs into actionable data requirements and facilitate alignment across stakeholders.
• Lead small workstreams involving data integration, governance, process improvement, customer segmentation, risk analytics, and operational reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, computer science, business, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, data governance, data stewardship, data modeling, or data engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries for large datasets.
• At least 3 years of experience with Power BI, including semantic models, dataflows, gateways, and Power BI Server.
• At least 3 years of experience with Python or R, cloud environments such as Azure, and data governance or data quality initiatives.
• Experience with data architecture, metadata and lineage, Git-based source control, advanced Excel and VBA, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data analytics or a related discipline.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, SQL Server, ETL pipelines, Alteryx, Apache Airflow, or cloud migration.
• Experience building predictive models with Python or R and advanced Power BI dashboards.
• Knowledge of insurance, policy administration, risk management, customer data, or long-term care insurance claims processes.
