Technical Product Manager, Quality Engineering

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; work-from-home options are available.

Salary: $104,000–$201,300 annually, depending on work location, knowledge, position level, and experience.

What you will do

• Author and own detailed technical specifications covering system context, data flows, API contracts, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
• Define product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes based on customer research, market analysis, and business objectives.
• Build prototypes, proof-of-concept scripts, lightweight automation, and code changes to validate assumptions.
• Work as an embedded engineering partner through design reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and pull request reviews.
• Define metrics, design experiments, analyze data, and translate insights into prioritization decisions.
• Break large initiatives into shippable increments while identifying scope and quality risks early.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated technical depth.
• Ability to read, understand, write, and review code.
• Experience authoring technical specifications, working in codebases, or contributing to engineering workflows.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise projects and delivery execution.
• Strong stakeholder communication, cross-functional engineering partnership, systems thinking, and customer insight.
• Relevant professional experience accepted; a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with spec-driven or design-document-driven development.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, pull request workflows, SaaS products, APIs, microservices, or platform products.
• Experience with data analysis, A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, Agile methodologies, Jira, or Confluence.
