IT Internal Auditor

Location: Onsite in Bellevue, Federal Way, Lynnwood, or Seattle, Washington, USA; Bellevue or Lynnwood preferred.

Salary: USD 90,000–115,000 yearly

What you will do

• Plan and execute audits of SOX IT General Controls, IT Application Controls, and automated business process controls.
• Assess controls over financial systems, data integrity, access management, change management, IT operations, and cybersecurity.
• Evaluate security controls covering identity and privileged access, vulnerabilities, patching, monitoring, data protection, cloud security, and third-party risk.
• Perform full-population data analytics by extracting, cleansing, joining, and reconciling ERP, financial, and IT data.
• Build Python- and SQL-based audit routines, dashboards, continuous monitoring, and workflow automation, including practical AI and machine learning applications.
• Document testing, identify deficiencies, communicate findings, and monitor remediation with IT and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT audit, IT risk, cybersecurity, or a related field, including exposure to SOX testing and compliance.
• Working knowledge of COSO, COBIT, SOX 404, ITGCs, and risk-based auditing.
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL; familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of cybersecurity controls and frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001, as well as cloud environments.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA certification, or active progress toward certification.
• Experience with ERP applications, complex IT systems, cloud platforms, robotic process automation, machine learning, or generative AI.
