Senior Software Engineer, Platform Services (AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and scale core services supporting growing customer, device, and traffic volumes.
• Decompose monolithic applications into independently scalable services and build self-service infrastructure capabilities.
• Maintain foundational components including API gateways, service meshes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve system reliability, security, availability, latency, throughput, and operational performance.
• Establish engineering, deployment, observability, and code-review best practices across teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents affecting mission-critical services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong backend programming experience with Go, Python, Java, or a similar language, including AI-assisted development methods.
• Deep knowledge of service-oriented architecture, microservices, scalable production systems, REST APIs or gRPC, and relational databases.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, peer code reviews, CDN and caching strategies, and production performance optimization.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Miami, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with API gateways such as Kong or AWS API Gateway and service meshes such as Dapr, Linkerd, or Istio.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers including Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on experience with MQTT and IoT protocols.
• Experience with distributed tracing, logging, monitoring, and cloud security or compliance practices.
