Software Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; on-site and office-first

Salary: $125,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own software products from design and development through testing and production.
• Partner with product managers to understand merchant, consumer, and internal user needs and propose technical solutions.
• Build consumer and merchant products supporting robot interactions and end-to-end delivery experiences.
• Develop order-ingestion integrations with DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and custom ordering systems.
• Build backend services for delivery management, logistics optimization, internal tools, and robot fleet operations.
• Architect services that process low-latency robot telemetry, including health, battery status, and location data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and leading implementation of platform features and services, including deployment in AWS.
• At least 1 year supporting business-critical production services.
• Backend development experience in Go, or strong fluency in Python, Java, Rust, or C++ with willingness to work primarily in Go.
• At least 1 year of SQL database fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or another message queue or pub/sub framework.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
