Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: In-person in San Francisco, United States

Base salary: $250,000–$450,000 per year, plus equity and performance-based total cash compensation.

hirify.global builds artificial intelligence tools, open models, benchmarks, and data infrastructure used by developers and enterprise customers for computer vision applications.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own the hirify.global Labs data platform, including catalog, delivery, contributor collection, and payout tooling.
• Build pipelines that ingest, validate, package, and ship datasets with provenance, rights tracking, and audit trails.
• Automate dataset quality through consensus, review routing, fraud detection, duplicate detection, and quality metrics.
• Turn individual data deliveries into reusable infrastructure in partnership with Strategic Projects Leads and operators.
• Integrate Labs infrastructure with hirify.global’s core platform and open-source tooling.
• Establish architecture, code review, observability, on-call, and release practices for a new engineering team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building production software.
• Strong depth in backend systems, data pipelines, or full-stack engineering.
• Experience designing reliable systems that process large volumes of data.
• Strong product judgment and a high-agency, action-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with annotation or human-data platforms.
• Experience with marketplaces involving payouts.
• Experience with machine learning training data pipelines or computer vision tooling.
