Sr. Manager, VAS Business Strategy & Planning (Payments)

Location: US - San Francisco, CA; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office required. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $169,100–$270,800 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Lead workstreams for multi-year strategy development and assessments of major opportunities, threats, and potential acquisitions.
• Structure complex business problems and develop data-driven recommendations with internal stakeholders.
• Present clear, concise recommendations to senior management, executive teams, functional teams, and regional leaders.
• Design and manage annual strategy, OKR, business performance, resource allocation, and reporting activities.
• Prepare materials for Board meetings, executive forums, and external client councils.
• Proactively identify and manage critical business opportunities and challenges.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree, or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 9+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years in management consulting or corporate strategy.
• Extensive experience in payments and financial services.
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, project management, collaboration, and executive communication skills.
• Advanced visual design skills for clear and effective storytelling.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve strategic analysis and accelerate insight generation.
