Activity Security Representative (ASR) II

Location: Onsite in Suitland, Maryland, United States; travel within the organizational geographic area of responsibility may be extensive and includes air and ground transportation.

Salary: $81,349–$108,675 per year.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day multidisciplinary security support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
• Review, process, track, and maintain classified correspondence, mail, media, data transfers, and document accountability records.
• Manage access control activities, including visitor escorts, badges, entry and exit inspections, and visitor control systems.
• Maintain personnel security files, access databases, customer-sponsored billets, quotas, and clearance processing records.
• Process Program Access Requests, SAP nomination questionnaires, access reviews, indoctrinations, and Top Secret control activities.
• Support Air Force SAP security compliance inspections and security awareness programs.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance required; willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
• At least 3 years of related experience; SAP experience is required.
• Familiarity with security policies, manuals, DCIDs, JAFANs, and other applicable guidance.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to work effectively with DoD, military, civilian, and industry personnel.
• Willingness to complete DoD SAPCO-approved SAPNP training when performing personnel security functions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree; an associate degree in a related area may also count toward experience.
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification or Special Program Security Certification.
