GSOC Protective Intelligence Lead

Location: San Jose, California, United States; support may include some evenings, weekends, or holidays as coverage needs evolve.

Base pay: $40.24–$50.28 per hour.

What you will do

• Monitor alarms, video surveillance, access control, and life-safety systems across hirify.global sites.
• Dispatch and coordinate responses to incidents, alarms, and assistance requests while providing real-time support to field security and executive protection teams.
• Configure and tune alerts, alarm thresholds, video management systems, and access-control tools.
• Author and improve SOPs, protocols, workflows, reporting standards, and GSOC operating procedures.
• Conduct protective intelligence and OSINT monitoring across social media, news, forums, and other open sources.
• Monitor travel, geopolitical, security, and weather risks and produce incident logs, spot reports, intelligence briefs, and timely alerts.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a GSOC, security operations center, dispatch, monitoring, intelligence analysis, OSINT, military, law enforcement, or related security environment, including senior or lead operator experience.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, act decisively under pressure, and handle sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion.
• Hands-on experience configuring security systems, including alerting and alarm thresholds, video management systems, and access control.
• Experience authoring SOPs, protocols, and workflows, mentoring operators, and maintaining clear logs and intelligence products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and comfort working across multiple security and technology platforms.
• Flexibility to support evolving coverage needs, including some evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. government security clearance.
• Protective intelligence or OSINT experience supporting an executive protection program.
• Travel risk or geopolitical risk monitoring experience.
• Familiarity with GSOC platforms, intelligence tools, social media monitoring, and dark web research.
• Foreign language proficiency or experience in aerospace, defense, technology, or another high-profile, multi-site environment.
