Senior Corporate Counsel (Commercial, Corporate and Real Estate)

Location: Santa Catarina, in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Five-day-a-week in-office model with up to 10% domestic and international travel. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Advise management and business stakeholders on commercial, corporate, real estate, regulatory, and operational legal matters.
• Research and interpret complex legal issues and provide practical, business-oriented recommendations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise commercial agreements, corporate documents, legal recommendations, and policies.
• Identify, assess, and help mitigate legal, regulatory, and operational risks.
• Support disputes, claims, investigations, strategic initiatives, and decision-making with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Improve legal processes, templates, policies, governance, and communication of legal risks to non-legal audiences.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer licensed to practice law in Mexico.
• Expertise in commercial, corporate, and real estate legal matters gained in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Strong legal research, analysis, risk management, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with IT tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Copilot.
• Valid travel visa and passport; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience managing a multinational law firm or corporate legal function.
• Professional expertise or legal studies in the United States or another country.
