RO Water Systems Specialist (Research Facility)

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and optimize reverse osmosis and associated purification systems, including DI, EDI, UV, and filtration units.
• Ensure continuous production of Type I, II, and III high-purity water for laboratory and research use.
• Perform membrane cleaning and replacement, filter changes, sanitization, calibration, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor pressure, flow, conductivity, resistivity, and TOC; conduct and document water quality testing.
• Troubleshoot system issues, minimize downtime, and support system upgrades, validation, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel, engineers, and facilities teams while maintaining compliance records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
• At least five years of related experience, including experience with reverse osmosis or high-purity water systems.
• Knowledge of water quality parameters, analytical testing methods, technical diagrams, and system schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with proficiency in data logging systems and standard computer applications.
• Experience in a research laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or government facility; familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ validation and PLC/SCADA systems.
• Valid state driver's license, ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, and capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
