Assistant Director, Career Connections

hirify.global’s Career Services supports students from orientation through graduation and helps them explore possibilities, build purpose, and launch their futures.

What you will do

• Lead career-connected technology platforms, systems, services, workflows, and operational processes.
• Implement, assess, report on, and continuously improve systems and initiatives that expand student access and outcomes.
• Coordinate university-wide initiatives connecting students with internships, employment, research, mentoring, and other career-connected opportunities.
• Build partnerships with employers, workforce organizations, academic units, alumni, and campus partners.
• Manage employer engagement activities and contracted career fair services while supporting talent pipeline development.
• Supervise assigned staff and student employees and contribute to Career Services leadership, planning, and goal setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, organizational leadership, workforce development, social sciences, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional experience leading projects, programs, initiatives, or partnerships involving multiple stakeholders and complex organizational processes.
• Experience using technology platforms, enterprise systems, databases, and data analytics for implementation, assessment, reporting, and decision-making.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and lead initiatives independently.
• Ability to analyze information, exercise sound judgment, and support data-informed decisions.
• This position is not eligible for new sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in workforce development, employer engagement, talent development, career services, higher education, or a related field.
• Experience with labor market information, workforce trends, career outcomes data, assessment, or related analytics.
• Experience leading operational improvements, process development, or organizational change initiatives.
