Slitter Operator 1 (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up and operate multiple slitters to convert jumbo adhesive-product rolls into smaller rolls.
• Load jumbo rolls, adjust machine components, slit and rewind continuous product strips, and complete job changeovers.
• Inspect webs and finished products, provide quality samples, identify scrap, and complete booking and line clearance.
• Label and pack products according to established packaging requirements, including supporting packing duties when required.
• Perform safety checks, minor maintenance, equipment adjustments, housekeeping, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with other operators, guide the work-cell team, and participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse manufacturing team and accept additional responsibility.
• Computer aptitude and ability to understand and use basic math.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, push or pull objects up to 250 pounds, and perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
