Slitter Chief (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Operate and monitor slitting and winding equipment to meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Set up and adjust equipment for speeds, cutting dimensions, tensions, and lengths according to material specifications and work orders.
• Inspect products, identify deviations, and take corrective action or escalate process and equipment issues.
• Support troubleshooting, product transitions, and changeovers in coordination with production and maintenance teams.
• Maintain production records and update material planning and production systems.
• Provide hands-on guidance to team members on slitting tasks and best practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in nonwoven or textile production.
• Prior slitter machine operation experience is required.
• Knowledge of process control systems, quality checks, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read a ruler, understand fractions, and perform basic math; basic computer proficiency with Microsoft business applications.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, perform repetitive physical movements, and pass the physical requirements for forklift operation.
