Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States; onsite support for the aerospace manufacturing line with occasional travel to vendor and customer visits.

What you will do

• Monitor and improve production flow, yield, uptime, equipment performance, and process capability.
• Lead continuous-improvement projects and product and process improvement initiatives on the manufacturing line.
• Identify and eliminate process variation caused by equipment or product design.
• Lead technical problem solving for quality issues, line rejects, and 8D/RMA concerns.
• Develop team capability through problem-solving guidance, mentoring, and collaboration with production, engineering, and other departments.
• Assist with Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flow Charts, Assembly Drawings, and manufacturing process controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or related field.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Analytical ability to understand and solve technical issues in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability and willingness to work directly on the production floor and adapt the schedule to production and business needs.
• Ability to understand and use SolidWorks, PLCs, and other manufacturing software is beneficial.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment authorization is verified through E-Verify.
