TL;DR
Ethics & Community Manager (Apparel): Leading ethical strategy, human rights due diligence, supplier audit programmes, and community initiatives across global apparel supply chains with an accent on responsible sourcing, worker wellbeing, and ethical compliance. Focus on assessing supply chain risks, managing corrective action plans, supporting FLA accreditation, and reporting programme impact to internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid role based in GSIQ, Solihull, UK, with attendance required at least 3 days per week. International travel may be required.

What you will do

  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the Ethical Strategy, aligning it with legislation, industry standards, and business priorities.
  • Manage the global supplier audit programme, corrective action plans, remediation activities, and supply chain risk assessments.
  • Support Fair Labor Association requirements and accreditation objectives.
  • Lead community, worker wellbeing, and social impact initiatives across sourcing regions.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Supply Chain, Technical, suppliers, NGOs, and industry organisations to embed responsible purchasing practices.
  • Define ethical KPIs, improve reporting processes, and support disclosures including the Modern Slavery Statement.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of ethical compliance, human rights due diligence, and responsible sourcing in global apparel supply chains.
  • Experience managing supplier audit and due diligence programmes.
  • Technical knowledge of textile and apparel manufacturing processes and supply chains.
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating human rights, trafficking, and labour risks.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, reporting, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to attend the Solihull office at least 3 days per week and travel internationally when required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Fair Labor Association requirements or similar multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Knowledge of responsible purchasing practices and their effect on worker wellbeing.
  • Experience developing training programmes or delivering worker wellbeing, community engagement, or social impact initiatives.
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to explain complex topics to different audiences.
