Opto/Mech Tech 2 - 2nd Shift

Location: Irvine, California; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $17.02–$31.56 per hour

hirify.global offers this full-time technician position supporting optical system assembly.

What you will do

• Audit 1–2 work-order kits from the warehouse and verify pieces and part numbers.
• Prepare subassembly components and follow written procedures or engineering drawings.
• Assemble and debug systems containing optical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Test each assembly level through 4–5 processes using laboratory instruments, including alignment, optimization, stability, and transmission testing.
• Package completed final assemblies daily.
• Participate in cross-training as a trainee and/or trainer.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of related experience for Level 2; 0–2 years may qualify for Level 1.
• Ability to work onsite in Irvine, California, in a clean room environment.
• Experience entering numeric data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheet templates.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to follow written procedures and technical drawings and work with optical, mechanical, and electronic components.
