Systems Integration Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Integrate hardware and software subsystems into verified robotic products and define staged bring-up strategies for high-DOF mechatronic systems.
• Derive and trace system-level requirements across hardware and software boundaries and maintain mechanical, electrical, data, and communication interface control documents.
• Define verification and validation strategies, build SIL/HIL and physical test setups, and execute integration campaigns from bench testing through full-system commissioning.
• Analyze system-level failures across hardware, software, and mechanical domains and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain integration baselines, configuration management, and release documentation while feeding lessons learned into architecture evolution.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Robotics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience integrating complex mechatronic or autonomous systems, with at least one product brought through integration to launch or field deployment.
• Hands-on experience with actuators, IMUs, force/torque sensors, vision, LiDAR, real-time controllers, and distributed computing.
• Proficiency with ROS 2, SIL/HIL, simulation tools such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or MuJoCo, and fieldbus or communication protocols including EtherCAT, CAN, DDS/RTPS, or Ethernet/TSN.
• Experience with requirements derivation, interface specification, V-model processes, traceability tools, Python, C/C++, test automation, data analysis, and CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of functional safety and cybersecurity standards including ISO 13849, ISO 10218, and ISO/SAE 21434.
