Commercial Solutions Engineer

What you will do

• Present Snowflake’s technology, vision, roadmap, and functionality to executives and technical contributors.
• Work with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle, including demonstrations, proofs of concept, solution design, and implementation.
• Translate Snowflake features into solutions for customer-specific business and data challenges.
• Build technical champions, support technical wins, and develop account strategies with sales and channel partners.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, sales engineers, ecosystem partners, and customers at industry events and joint initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in sales engineering or solution architecture in a SaaS environment, or relevant experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, or a related industry.
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills with technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
• Understanding of and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake’s solutions.
• Customer-facing skills for communicating technical vision in written and verbal formats.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, or Git.
• Experience with data science and machine learning technology.
