2027 Spring Co-op Neuroscience Research

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Must be able to relocate to the office location for the full six-month co-op.

Salary: $45–$57 per hour

What you will do

• Perform mammalian cell culture, including iPSC-derived neuron and glia culture.
• Execute molecular and biochemical assays, including ELISA, MSD immunoassays, immunoprecipitation, Western blot, and RT-qPCR.
• Support in vivo mouse studies through animal handling, basic dosing, tissue collection, and sample processing.
• Follow established protocols and maintain precise laboratory records and documentation.
• Collaborate on individual and team research projects and contribute to experimental design discussions.
• Gain exposure to the drug development process from target identification and lead optimization through development milestones.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master’s or PhD in biomedical sciences, life sciences, or a related field, with expected graduation by fall 2028.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Must remain enrolled at an accredited college or university throughout the co-op.
• Experience or proficiency with mammalian cell culture, in vitro and in vivo studies, and standard molecular or biochemical assays.
• Experience with mouse handling, basic dosing procedures, tissue collection, meticulous record-keeping, and rigorous experimental documentation.

Nice to have

• Previous research laboratory experience through academic research or prior co-op positions.
• Experience with iPSC-derived neuron or glia cultures and Parkinson’s disease or neurodegeneration research.
