Analyst, Asset-Backed Investments

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Hybrid workplace model with at least four full days each week working in an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Evaluate, select, underwrite, and position public and private asset-backed investments across mutual funds, ETFs, and institutional accounts.
• Model loan and bond cash flows and underwrite public ABS and private asset-backed finance investments, including consumer loans and 4a2 structures.
• Conduct market research, formulate investment outlooks, and assess relative value across ABS, CMBS, MBS, asset-backed loans, mortgage-backed loans, and other fixed-income sectors.
• Use Excel, general-purpose programming languages, and artificial intelligence for monthly credit surveillance and monitoring.
• Develop relationships with loan originators and sell-side contacts, support deal flow and investment execution, and formulate trade ideas.
• Prepare investment commentary, interact with retail and institutional investors, and support product development and marketing for asset-backed investment capabilities.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience underwriting asset-backed securities or private asset-backed finance investments across multiple collateral types.
• Familiarity with Intex and Bloomberg.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop investment frameworks, adapt them to client objectives, and work constructively within an investment team.
• Ability to work from the Atlanta office at least four full days per week under the current workplace model.

Nice to have

• Python and VBA programming skills.
• CFA charterholder status or active pursuit of the CFA charter.
• Experience sourcing investments, supporting platform growth, or working with additional structured-product subsectors.
