Senior Valuations Analyst, Valuation Oversight Team (Investment Valuation)

Location: Chicago, IL; hybrid work model with time split between the office and home

Salary: $88,900–$151,100 USD per year in base pay

What you will do

• Perform valuation oversight, fair value analysis, ASC 820/FAS 157 leveling determinations, pricing exception reviews, and related reporting.
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and document valuation models for complex and illiquid securities.
• Independently review and challenge third-party valuation models, methodologies, assumptions, reports, and outputs.
• Analyze private investments, contingent value rights, escrow positions, proxy securities, delisted securities, suspended securities, and other hard-to-value investments.
• Prepare analyses, recommendations, governance materials, and reporting for the Pricing and Valuation Committee.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Fund Administration, investment teams, vendors, auditors, and regulators while improving automation, reporting, controls, and valuation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in valuation, pricing oversight, investment management, audit, or valuation advisory work.
• Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, including Income, Market, and Asset Approaches, discounted cash flow analysis, market multiples, and asset-based valuation.
• Experience with complex, illiquid, or hard-to-price securities and with reviewing valuation models and third-party valuation reports.
• Advanced Excel, analytical, communication, organization, and stakeholder collaboration skills; familiarity with Bloomberg and Capital IQ is strongly preferred.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

• MBA, CFA, or CVA designation.
• Experience supporting valuation committees, governance processes, audits, or regulatory reviews.
