Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote

Salary: CA$170,000–CA$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate ambiguous product concepts into concrete ML strategies through exploratory data analysis, pattern discovery, and feature identification.
• Fine-tune multimodal generative models and orchestrate AI agents such as LangGraph for clinical applications.
• Define statistical and business metrics and build evaluation frameworks for high-stakes healthcare systems.
• Develop production-grade Python solutions and collaborate on scalable deployment, monitoring, and observability.
• Track data drift, model degradation, system health, and edge cases while building fallback heuristics.
• Work autonomously with product, engineering, operations, and technical leadership to deliver reliable solutions and close technical gaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping production-grade software in complex, high-stakes environments.
• Strong computer science foundation and experience architecting performant, scalable web applications.
• Expertise in modern backend languages such as C#, Node, or Python, plus frontend architectures, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Practical experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or New Relic, along with unit and integration testing.
• Ability to structure and verify AI-assisted development workflows while maintaining high engineering standards.

• Experience leading complex technical projects from 0 to 1.
