Senior Scheduler – Natural Gas (Energy)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. The role includes up to 10% travel to plants, pipeline facilities, counterparties, and occasional industry or team meetings.

What you will do

• Nominate, schedule, and manage natural gas receipts and deliveries across plants, gathering systems, pipelines, storage facilities, hubs, pools, and interconnects.
• Coordinate plant and producer nominations, residue gas volumes, pipeline confirmations, allocations, and actual flows.
• Manage physical natural gas movements across the Permian Basin, Waha Hub, Texas intrastate and interstate pipelines, and Gulf Coast delivery markets.
• Monitor pipeline constraints, maintenance, operational notices, curtailments, outages, severe weather events, and nomination cuts, making timely scheduling adjustments.
• Reconcile flows, inventory, line pack, storage activity, and imbalances while supporting month-end volume reconciliation, settlement, and accounting.
• Work with traders, originators, producers, plants, pipelines, marketers, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to align physical execution with commercial positions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or five years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Four to eight years of industry-related experience, or a high school diploma with ten years of relevant experience.
• Experience with natural gas scheduling, preferably including Permian Basin and Waha-area markets.
• Knowledge of pipeline tariffs, nomination cycles, gas measurement, allocation practices, and natural gas scheduling systems.
• Strong communication, commercial awareness, attention to detail, operational judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under time-sensitive operating conditions.
