QC Testing Technician I

Location: Memphis, TN, United States; onsite work with periodic visits to a manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Perform electrical and software testing on large HVAC equipment with exposed voltages up to 1000V AC/DC.
• Inspect and test electrical components, evaluate test data, and document test records.
• Create, document, and update test procedures.
• Lead pre- and post-test assembly and disassembly across voltage classes.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support to engineering staff using manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Supervise, mentor, train, and provide direction to technicians or crews as required.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of fan systems, pumps, compressors, VFDs, PLCs, and electromechanical controls.
• Ability to work safely with electrical systems up to 1000V AC/DC and follow safe work practices, industry standards, and certification requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems using technical documentation and engineering support.
• Effective written and verbal communication, analytical decision-making, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for up to 95% of working hours.
• Ability to work in seasonal heat and cold, dust, and occasional chemical-fume exposure.
