QA Technician

Location: Cookeville, United States; onsite manufacturing role

hirify.global operates a manufacturing quality assurance function covering incoming materials, production processes, and finished products.

What you will do

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against inspection plans, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
• Operate and maintain calibrated measuring equipment, including calipers, gauges, micrometers, height gauges, coating thickness gauges, torque equipment, and, at advanced levels, CMMs.
• Identify, isolate, label, and quarantine nonconforming materials and stop work or production when significant safety or quality concerns arise.
• Complete inspection reports, traceability records, nonconformance reports, and other quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform process audits, verify corrective action effectiveness, and support supplier quality investigations.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, SPC, PFMEA, control plan, and ISO 9001 quality activities according to role level.

Requirements

• Ability to perform visual, incoming, in-process, and final product inspections in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools and keep inspection equipment calibrated.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and, for advanced levels, interpret GD&T.
• Ability to prepare accurate inspection documentation and NCRs and maintain material traceability.
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5S practices.
• Reliable attendance, accurate inspection work, safe equipment operation, and willingness to cross-train are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMM operation, ISO 9001 audits, CAPA, root cause analysis, SPC, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Experience mentoring or training QA technicians and supporting supplier audits.
