Product Designer (Fintech)

Fintech software platform providing tools for researching, purchasing, and managing alternative investments, annuities, and structured products.

What you will do

• Own the hand-off between product owners and engineering, coaching product owners to follow design standards.
• Ensure production components match approved designs by partnering closely with front-end engineers.
• Create and manage Storybook components through GitHub, keeping them aligned with the Claude Design Kit.
• Define and refine a documented process for consuming prototypes with front-end and full-stack engineers.
• Provide design coaching across multiple initiatives and advise product owners on Claude-generated prototypes.
• Expand into user research, including persona development, usability testing, and workshops.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building or maintaining a design system or component library.
• Hands-on experience creating and managing components in Storybook and GitHub.
• Experience using AI-assisted design and development tools such as Claude to build UI components aligned with a defined design system.
• Strong UX/UI judgment and the ability to preserve design intent when translating designs into functioning code.

Nice to have

• Financial services or fintech experience, particularly with financial advisor software or wealth management platforms.
• Experience with interviews, persona development, usability testing, or workshop facilitation.
