Director, Global Corporate Development (Payments)

Location: San Francisco, United States; at least 3 days in the office required. Travel: 5–10%.

Salary: $192,300–$307,600 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, and execute mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
• Analyze industry trends and growth opportunities, develop data-driven investment theses, and present recommendations to executive stakeholders.
• Build valuation analyses, financial models, and business cases for potential acquisitions and investments.
• Lead detailed diligence processes with internal colleagues and external advisors, prioritizing critical findings and transaction risks.
• Maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and partner companies.
• Contribute to M&A practices, team development, and collaboration across hirify.global’s global businesses.

Requirements

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Hands-on experience executing multiple transactions from target identification through closing.
• Experience in investment banking, private equity, late-stage venture capital, or corporate development.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, investment analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading complex projects with multiple cross-functional and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence, including engagement with senior leaders, boards, and external partners.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8–10 years with an advanced degree.
• MBA or another relevant graduate degree from a top-tier institution.
• Financial services or payments industry experience.
• Global or multinational business experience.
