Engineering Manager (Game Platform Foundations)

What you will do

• Lead and develop an engineering team building shared platforms for games, tools and services.
• Recruit, mentor, coach and manage performance while fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe culture.
• Own the team’s platform product direction, roadmap, priorities and delivery commitments.
• Build trusted relationships with engineering teams, Engineering Managers, Tech Directors and Software Engineers.
• Use productivity metrics and developer feedback to improve platform products and engineering effectiveness.
• Guide responsible adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering while maintaining quality, correctness and maintainability.

Requirements

• Experience leading software engineering teams.
• Technical background in software engineering, distributed systems, cloud platforms or platform engineering.
• Ability to build shared platforms that improve developer experience, engineering effectiveness and operational excellence.
• Strong relationship-building, decision-mahirify.global and change-leadership skills.
• Pragmatic Agile approach and a direct, humble leadership style.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating large-scale cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience with platform engineering, internal tools platforms, developer experience or engineering productivity.
• Experience leading technical modernization and large-scale platform transformations.
• Experience in the gaming industry.
