Operational Model Excellence Manager, Credit (Hybrid; m/f/x/d; 80-100%)

Location: Madrid, Spain. Hybrid work model with an expectation of working from the office at least three days per week.

Base salary: EUR 60,000–CHF 100,000 per year for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of the end-to-end Credit operating model across underwriting, operations, and enabling functions.
• Translate business outcomes into target-state processes, service models, governance structures, and operating principles.
• Lead technology-enabled initiatives, including AI implementations that improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Identify optimization opportunities, risks, and control gaps, and drive sustainable mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across business, functional, and regional stakeholders.
• Lead a focused team of specialists in process, data, technology, and transformation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in financial services, commercial insurance, reinsurance, or a similarly complex regulated environment.
• Relevant experience in credit insurance, surety, or commercial credit risk.
• 5+ years of experience in transformation, operational excellence, or operational leadership.
• Strong program and project management skills, including leadership of complex multi-stakeholder initiatives through influence.
• Experience co-leading technology and AI implementations as a program manager, product owner, or business owner.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and work across cultures.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled process transformation or digital operating model design.
• Management consulting or advisory experience in financial services.
• Experience embedding governance frameworks and controls in a regulated environment.
